Agriculture in Africa
The continent of Africa is without equal in its potential for Agricultural Production. With over half of the continent's land classified as arable, combined with a wide range of regional climates, Africa is the ideal Seedbed for a global agricultural revolution.
Agriculture on the continent already accounts for at least 15% of the region’s GDP, and there is a growing realisation that the self-evident link between farming and food security makes Agriculture Insurance an essential tool, not least given the uncertainty driven by Climate Change.

Recent improvements in supporting legislation, infrastructure, access to capital investment, climate adaptation, and increased productivity among small-scale farmers have fueled a surge in agricultural projects and overall productivity.
